Investment pieces, that in my opinion are worth every penny. I have two of her Motherships: Mothership V Sublime Bronze and now this ultra feminine compact of utter brilliance. Everything is there. Pigmentation, versatility, butter-like powders that blend like a dream. I just cannot fault it. In my opinion if you’ve been looking for a PM palette to get, this is her prettiest yet.<br />

Let’s break it down a little more. The shades from the top left to right, clockwise down:<br />
<br />
Skinshow Rose Opal:a good blend out champagne shade described with an ‘opal’ shift<br />
Naked Blush: highly pigmented coral in a buttery matte<br />
Eleganza :a metallic plum shade which same coral tones as Naked Blush<br />
Bronze Rose 005:another metallic shade that is copper which shifts slightly pink<br />
Gold Lust 001: metallic yellow gold<br />
Astral Pink Moon: Glittery peachy champagne sparkle in a relatively clear base.<br />
VR Sextraterrestrial : named a triochrome by Pat. Seeing is believing- fuschia, green and hints of golden peach shift and change<br />
Rose Seduction: the star of the palette off which every other shade comes. Sizzling Magenta<br />
Divine Dusk:on the money description, as a rose bronze<br />
Extreme Bergundy: intense sooty matte bergundy which can be packed at lash line for definition<br />
Wordy descriptions hold no power over pictures which show the shades perfectly.<br />

While this palette can be full on glamour, very simple pairings of some of the shades can result in a sophisticated ‘t-shirt and jeans’ look. If you look at the palette with the first four shades in a square configuration, it is a soft peachy plum palette which looks like shades of a desert. There are so many options with this palette and I cannot wait to play more.<br />

</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Pat McGrath launched a concealer system a few weeks ago which consisted of an under eye concealer, a powder, and an under eye brush which is said to mimic Pat’s magic tapping fingers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As of now I sadly only have the concealer. The powder and brush sold out before I got up and South Africa is ahead in time, so fans must have waited as it dropped online. They are definitely on my wishlist, as the concealer has fast become my favorite, together with my much loved and empty Armani Power Fabric Concealer. For reference I’m shade 5 in the Armani. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pat McGrath Concealer is housed in a heavy, luxe, typical concealer tube with doe foot applicator. Nothing new here. The formula however is a beautifully crafted concealer/skincare hybrid that is a lightweight gel-like formula. Pat’s ‘vita - serum complex’ which helps with the creation of hyaluronic acid and ceramides helps fight wrinkles and plump out skin. When applied straight from the applicator onto the under eye area, I mistakenly thought it was quite thick. With one swipe, the gel- cream smooths out with ease, depositing a good amount of pigmented product which melts into the skin effortlessly. It has a medium buildable coverage they can be sheered out or built up with ease. This concealer has a skin-like finish with almost glossy look- your skin but more polished. I look refreshed on contact. I chose shade 10 which is the same shade as my Pat McGrath foundation. I bought it online without seeing any swatches. It is recommended you should chose a shade down for a brightening effect and a shade up or two for contour. Shade 10 was a perfect fit. I was concerned if I chose a shade too light, it would make me look ill, as lighter ‘brightening’ shades tend to do that to me. I guess if I had the chance to play with a number of shade I could choose a peachier shade to counteract days that I am harbouring eye bags and darkness. I could play with two or threes tones. However without the luxury of Pat in country this can’t happen. I might just have order sight unseen again..</div>

I have really enjoyed using this concealer. It does not exacerbate fine lines or make them appear worse through the day. In fact, my under eyes really look better and fresher than when I woke up. I wish I had the powder. I wonder how would compare with my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder which I’ve used since it was launched. </div>

</div>
So I thought it would be fitting to do a review on the Pat McGrath Foundation and Primer on the eve of the launch of her complimenting concealer system which will be available from tomorrow on her site. Pat McGrath started her line with her amazing mothership eyeshadow palettes. These are drool-worthy, with excellent formulations in her mattes, satins, metallics and glitters. These are definitely investment pieces but with the further launch of smaller palettes and single shadows, her brand has become accessible to all budgets. The foundation and primer were launch around July last year.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A well-loved duo of the Pat McGrath primer and foundation</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
I was lucky in choosing a shade off reviews and the site itself and ended up with shade 10. It is described as ‘Light Medium w/ peach neutral undertones”. Without really knowing if the any shades would be a more perfect match, shade 10 is a good match for me. Much has been said about alcohol being high on the inkey list, I have had no adverse reaction to its inclusion and quite probably benefit from it, as I tend towards oiliness. That being said, skin prep is always the key, whether you have dry or oily skin. The texture of the foundation is light and serum-like. I like to give it a quick shake before dispensing one pump for a light cover, and a second, to go back on area’s that need extra care.<br />
Fingers give a more natural sheer look, and with a brush I can build to a medium, more polished complexion. The foundation does have an immediate grip to the skin and dries down relatively quickly. I do not find it oxidizes. Depending on various factors, including how much I’ve used, powdered, oiliness of my skin on the day, if I have used retinol or acids the night before which tend to dehydrate my skin, will reflect the longevity of the foundation.<br />
It gives your skin a healthy, glossy finish. I typically powder, to preserve the integrity of the foundation as I have mentioned the oily nature of my skin.<br />
The primer is also nice for some added hydration. I’m not sure if it ensures longer wear, but it provides a fresh canvas for the foundation. I would have loved for it to come in the same glass bottle, but perhaps in black, rather than the plastic one it comes it.<br />
The foundation for me is the star of the show. I cannot wait for the concealer, setting powder and brush trio!<br />

Roen Beauty has been in my cart for months, but since shipping to South Africa was not (yet) an option, it was a desire unfulfilled. After many attempts I finally have two of their amazing products in my possession. I purchased the 75* Warm palette and the Disco eye. Here is my review:</div>

Let’s start with the Warm palette. An array of warm brown, taupes, butter gold and amber, these shades are set within a compact case that has a magnetized closure. It’s also happens to be a perfect size for on the go touch ups or travel. All shades have a pigmented base with gleaming sparkles throughout. The effect on the eye, is a on-trend ‘lived in’ look that makes me feel both feminine and ‘cool girl’ all at once. Initially, dip your finger in to warm the product and get to the good stuff. I have applied mostly with my fingers and then used a brush to diffuse and blend. Nikki Dust is my all over shade. I add either J’adore for a more sunset tone or Facetime to add depth to Nikki Dust. The shade ,Obviously can be used in the inner corner or as a pop on the centre of the lid. Of course us, each shade can be used as single washes or mixed to create so many looks. These shadows, are perfect for white tee and jean days as well as all night parties. My main concern was, was it going to crease. While I don’t mind a bit of creasing, on my oily lids it can become unflattering. So let me tell u the skinny. No creasing when I have worn it without and with primer. It also lasts excellently all day. I was curious about the texture since much has been written about it. It feel creamy to the touch but it is unlike any other eyeshadow in my collection. It is especially unique and I’m in love!<br />

Roen Disco Eye is a topper as well as a ethereal stand alone shade. Drier and grittier to the touch, this shadow has a combination of small and larger glitter flecks which impart a magnificent shine on the eyes. When applied, their are no discernible particles and the effect is beyond pretty. I do have a love for sparkle and this is truly one of the best I’ve tried.<br />

I would have bought the 52* Cool palette, but wanted to experience the warm palette before investing in both palettes. I am now disappointed that I have to wait, again for it to arrive. Nikki (Roen’s creator) has teased at a new color palette early in 2020 as well as a new category (other than the Wow Brow pencils). Roen ticks all the boxes needed for a ‘now’ brand being vegan, cruelty free and clean. This brand is now fully on my radar.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2303461468618351600.post-40337006942109492282020-02-06T05:46:00.000-08:002020-02-06T05:46:29.196-08:00Hello Beautylovers,<div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A new era in South Africa - an exciting launch of a brand never seen here. Murmurings of Dolce and Gabbana arriving have been heard as long as 18mnths ago, dismissed as rumour I was thrilled to see the unveiling of a gorgeous sparkly D & G Beauty concession.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Not only do they seemingly have a full line up of product, but they launched with the Sophia Loren lip colour. We always seem to be way behind launches or even never receive them. This bodes well for this fledgling brand (in SA anyway). Let's move on to the mini haul.</div>

Since I actually do not own any Dolce and Gabbana makeup, it was really hard to know where to start as there are so many pretty things to look at. My internet search did not help much as D & G seems to be on the whole overlooked where beauty bloggers are concerned. I'm not sure why, as the products I picked are seriously amazing in all round performance. </div>

First up I chose Lushie Smooth Eyeshadow Quad (146). I have a penchant for red shadows and this was a good mix of taupe's, red and a deep bark shade. The first shade is a soft pink taupe which work as great all- over colour or transition shade. The second shade is a medium taupe. Both these shades have a soft iridescence.The pop colour is a matte red that blends really well . The last shade is a almost matte bark brown. All of them are well pigmented, blend smoothly and lasted a full day without loosing impact. The packaging lightweight and sleek.<br />

<br /></div>
Glam Liner Intense Liquid Eyeliner is up next. I purchased Earth Brown which is described as a 'warm brown shimmer'. I tend to prefer pen type liquid liners but fell in love with this rich brown sparkle. I have found the applicator fairly easy to use to create the perfect cats eye. The liner stays on with no flaking . My Bioderma eventually got it off, but those not wanting to rub use a slightly stronger makeup remover. It has some serious staying power! The rest of the colours look just as good and glossy.<br />
<br />
Sophia Loren Signature Lipstick - a lipstick somewhere between a gloss and a cream lipstick. A hydrating lipstick that stays on your usual timeframe. It is quite fragranced similar to my Givenchy and Burberry lipsticks. I loved it applied with a lipstick brush. It gives it a slightly more glossy and transparent effect. This reads more raspberry than red as described on my lips. The packaging is lightweight as well but I would prefer a slightly more luxurious casing with a magnetic closure with such a high end product. The DG logo on the lipstick always a nice touch!<br />

<br /></div>
Sheer Shine Gloss in Praline (102) is my first gloss from Dolce and Gabbana. The gloss has a sticky feel which helps it stay longer. The same scent as the lipstick. The gloss feels hydrating and leaves a soft feel long after it has worn of. It is a high shine gloss with a cellophone finish. This has sheer pigmentation which adds a veil of colour on my pigmented lips or deepens a lighter lipstick worn as a base.<br />

I really think they they excel in development of new foundation technology. Their Teint Couture Collection offers an outstanding complexion line up- From the *NEW* Teint Couture Balm, The TC Long-wearing fluid Foundation and *NEW* TC Embellishing concealer. There is also the TC powder compact of which I have yet to own, since I do not gravitate towards powder foundations, though the Givenchy SA assured me this powder is perfect for setting the balm and foundation....<br />

<u>Teint Couture Balm in Shade 4</u><br />
<div>
This is lightweight creamy lotion that blurs pores and imperfections without the usual heavy silicone feel of other 'blur' effect complexion enhancers. For me this sits somewhere between a tinted moisturiser with the added benefit of making my pores and skin look polished will still looking like healthy fresh skin. It adds a glossy natural finish to my oily skin that lasts the whole day. The glossy natural finish is different to when we talk about foundations that have a radiant finish- as in foundations that have some sort of micro-pearl within the foundation to create radiance. This Balm is more of a plumped healthy gloss that reads natural. There is no melting of this beautiful foundation. I chose shade 4. It goes on seemingly lighter than my skin but once I've finished with my other makeup this is one of the best matches ever for my skin! I do powder through my T-zone to give it a slightly matte effect- I suspect dry girls could skip this step. It has a SPF 15 PA++ sun protection - always good for a daily foundation (though always wear a separate SPF for added protection). This has become my go to every day face! I cannot recommend it enough, which I did in fact do. My friend went out, sampled it and bought it the next day!<br />
<br />
<u>Teint Couture Long-Wearing Fluid Foundation in Shade 4</u><br />
A buildable medium coverage foundation. It is described as having 'made to measure coverage ' and I'm sure if fuller coverage is your preference you could achieve it without any heaviness. This long wearing foundation gives me a very polished finish without looking too done. It has a demi matte finish - it never looks flat but allows the skin to retain dimension. This foundation also even out my complexion and blurs pores with ease and looks like velvet (in a good way.) After a few hours it still remains but with a slight dewiness. It never descends into a oil slick and never breaks up. It has a SPF 20 PA++. I have not tested it with flash photography.<br />
<br />
<u>Teint Couture Embellishing Concealer in Shade 2</u><br />
I bought this item on a whim as it had received some unfavourable reviews. I am happy to report that I absolutely adore this concealer. As you can see, it has a pink 'illuminating' section together with the traditional concealer part in stick form. It feels quite hard to the touch, but it has a very light texture with good coverage. I either draw straight onto my underage (rarely do with other concealers) or draw onto my 'hand" palette and dab and warm product onto my undereye area. It has never once accentuated fine line and while not overly moisturising my under eye, it looks good. I have used it for spot concealing and will typically use only the concealer section. I have to admit I have not just used the pink section for highlighting on its own. I would definitely buy it again.<br />
<br />
<u>Noir Couture Volume</u><br />
First, lets all just swoon over such sexy packaging. Hefty looking but actually quite portable, the mascara is housed in a gorgeous slick tube. It has a dense big brush. I usually favour these over the newer silicone skinny brushes. This mascara give big, bold lashes. It does not flake and stays intact till I take it off. If its high impact lashes you are looking for this would be a good product for you!<br />
<br />
<br />
I have to say Givenchy has won over my heart with these products. I have already started trialling their Airy Light Mat Radiance and best selling Phot'Perfexion Fluid foundations and so far I'm impressed with me leaning toward two huge thumbs up for both of them.<br />
<br />
Is there a brand that you wish had more attention?<br />

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">These were part of Chanel's summer collection and hopefully if you like them some counters should still have the in stock....... while Fall and Holiday collection start to fall!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> The Chanel Mediterranee collection landed on our shores a few weeks back and today I bring you my picks. The Ombre A' Paupie'res Effet Frais made their first appearance in the Chanel Lineup if I'm not mistaken last year spring. I enjoyed using them last year, so when I saw these two gorgeous and unusual shades I grabbed these two limited edition's. These shades are both perfect for the upcoming "pumpkin' season and I think lend themselves more to Fall than summer.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The formula has that oddly cool effect when applied to the eye. This obviously does not last long and I'm not convinced that the product needs this gimmick. My peepers however, do feel momentarily refreshed!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The shade Laurier Rose is a stunning shade of rose gold- essentially a glistening peach. This reached fully opacity in a single swipe.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Olivine is a shade that I have no match to in my stash. Its an almost matte moss green.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Both these shades are unusual enough to warrant a purchase! They are not my favourite shadow stick but are still high quality and last pretty well on my oily lids.</span><br />

From a fairly unexciting repertoire they are releasing a slew of exciting new products. These lovely Colour Pops were released a few months back. These are meant to prep the lips and add colour, all in one cute, compact product. I chose Nude Pop from the nudes offered - a sheer, slightly pearlescent lively nude. A perfect, every day ,' throw it on like my fave pair of jeans' nude. Grape Pop is a juicy lilac purple . Its a fun colour which can be layered to reach full intensity. Both wear well and feel hydrating on my lips. They do 'prime' the lip as the colour sits well on the lips and does not accentuate any lines or bleed. I have since picked up another shade Plum Pop. They are described as demi matte - I'm not sure in my experience this is how I would describe them. They are more of a demi satin - neither opaque nor sheer in colour saturation with a moist feel and look to them.<br />

These are lovely lipsticks that I cannot fault. They will still satisfy the more conservative Clinque customer while gaining fans with their great formula and easy colours. A definite win from Clinique.<br />
What POP shade should be next on my wish list?<br />
Oh and yes "Hello again"!<br />

I think I own about five beauty gadgets and have had varied success with them. Some I have had for years with no trouble at all with the device itself. Here starts my review of the Lancer Microcurrent Power Boost. You will rarely see a blatantly negative review on my blog as I prefer to focus on products I enjoy using. At best a review will be lukewarm and ending in the hope that I will learn to like the products. So yes this review is headed in the wrong direction, but it did start in a happy way.<br />
<br />
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbjZhuf3EQfO29rs0xjza-8AHhp-ghoCxO0Ui7zrrr7YVuhGUSY916WWdnePSfwdewc6jg3HUom6iWueYgDqeVEcECMDDUBv1GGIdyY_UXR8yAztVFHRgngmUnYt-GOY6NlGCN3R8FTMI/s640/blogger-image--690252244.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbjZhuf3EQfO29rs0xjza-8AHhp-ghoCxO0Ui7zrrr7YVuhGUSY916WWdnePSfwdewc6jg3HUom6iWueYgDqeVEcECMDDUBv1GGIdyY_UXR8yAztVFHRgngmUnYt-GOY6NlGCN3R8FTMI/s400/blogger-image--690252244.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When I bought my Lancer The Method at Bergdorf Goodman, the Microcurrent was demonstrated to me and I was impressed.So with my $250 device in my pocket I merrily skipped home (you get the picture). I bought the device end on July and arrived home beginning August. I probably used it for 3 weeks 3 times a week. I had also bought the Tria Age-Defying Laser, so when I started the Tria which is a 12 week course I stopped using the Microcurrent as the Tria is a 5 day a week treatment. I might have used it once or twice on the weekends. So fast forward to December when we go on summer holiday, my stay in hospital, I now find myself beginning February ready to start with my Microcurrent again. The time line is important as the device was merely 6 months old with about 20 uses on it- so really almost new.</div>
<div>
So when I took it out to use, I ran it along the prescribed area, the geranium head plopped off onto the floor.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnLz7k08wsfROOWPZ0ZFd7zouu7CioVV_h-nXGnK4zfPptSVCYuq6rOUiXlHky6dp8sK9dr2UM1drEGGbdxj2X0XS8tItsOP6bLi6vESHmPdiqYQQ_wfNmP4ej2x5OZWKRzegZ4VpGzeE/s640/blogger-image-1837015821.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="270" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnLz7k08wsfROOWPZ0ZFd7zouu7CioVV_h-nXGnK4zfPptSVCYuq6rOUiXlHky6dp8sK9dr2UM1drEGGbdxj2X0XS8tItsOP6bLi6vESHmPdiqYQQ_wfNmP4ej2x5OZWKRzegZ4VpGzeE/s400/blogger-image-1837015821.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I emailed customer service (where a response I have found, takes days) and relayed my story about my broken device. They said I should return it to BG. I then explained, that I live in South Africa. Days later the the response was that I would be sent a replacement device and would I please send my address. I rejoiced in such good customer service and a brand that stands by their product.</div>
<div>
Think again- I then received an email stating I must send back device. Mmmm, did I not mention I live in South Africa. The shipping cost would be the same price as a new device?!</div>
<div>
Again a response that a shipping label would be sent to me. Impressed. Yes I was.</div>
<div>
That is when the wheels fell off. The following email stating there policy is I must send device back before they would send me the replacement device. I sent through a picture of the broken device (above).<br />
I then explained that before this policy had been known to me I had been promised a new device and they should stand by the first email.<br />
So here is how it stands - I was told that I was 'misinformed' and that a return label could not be sent outside the U.S. I have in the past has a bag that perished from Alexander Wang , where yes they did indeed send me a return label via email and my broken bag returned to them on their cost and a new beautiful bag shipped to me?!<br />
So in my mind Lancer is happy to sell products with inferior quality as I would expect an expensive device to last longer than 6 months. I think that discretion on their part , by organising me a new device without having me to send back the old one, would have been the better thing to do, if they indeed could not find out how to get my old device back to them- fedex ring a bell!? I do understand that I live in South Africa, but it literally fell apart too soon after purchase. This is where I think somebody should have used there head and decided to stand by the quality of the product and made a plan for me.<br />
I was not even told whether could use it in this state or if I could repair it. At this point it makes quite an unattractive paperweight. No further communication.<br />
<br />
I will say that while used it for those 20 odd times my skin felt invigorated and toned and was really looking forward to continued results. I was genuinely disappointed when it just fell apart.<br />
I really have had a bad customer experience with Lancer. I have actually just invested in one of their serums 'Younger' - but honestly if I could return it and support a brand that supports its customer better I would. This is just my personal experience.<br />
<br />
I did hesitate again in decided whether to post this review and what I hoped to gain. I tend to be really brand loyal and buy into the ethos of a brand and when I feel let down I almost feel a trust has been broken. So I will be moving on.......<br />
<br />

But 2015 seems to be on a strong thrust forward and we are suddenly in March. So I decided to present you will my February favourites . These products I have thoroughly enjoyed.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKDJ2ln5BfFuylQJS-Mj6AGjO9QacIJsacSQNgZ0a8Ly9eTnCW-sguAwkqVYVa7oDTDrH2nWNRhmIdpn8DCIh790_iPTnQT5tCOGWn0xG6t5_GnxV0nWGONyR9aXL6JOLBFg5Tljr75hU/s1600/IMG_0389.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKDJ2ln5BfFuylQJS-Mj6AGjO9QacIJsacSQNgZ0a8Ly9eTnCW-sguAwkqVYVa7oDTDrH2nWNRhmIdpn8DCIh790_iPTnQT5tCOGWn0xG6t5_GnxV0nWGONyR9aXL6JOLBFg5Tljr75hU/s1600/IMG_0389.jpg" height="400" width="297" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<u>Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser</u> - I have been dancing around the Tata Harper range since my visit to New York last year July. The Boosted Contouring serum is on my wishlist, but I'm undecided. I would not use Tata Harper products for an undying need to use 100% natural products on my face. However, I like the idea that TH is not outsourced to labs that make up a number of other brands formula's, but are manufactured on her farm in Vermont. I actually love the strong floral scents of her products. This is a pure botanical range that is meant to deliver results. I decided to purchase the Purifying cleanser when Net-a-porter had free shipping!. If I could order this in vats I would! It has a gel type formula with a slight oily texture, which does not foam. I massage it onto dry skin and sometimes throw in a little facial massage. It has an invigorating and refreshing sensation. I rinse with water and my skin is left soft an clean. It does suggest to apply on damp skin ,but I find I use too much and it does not feel as clean.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<u>Koh Gen Do - Cleansing Spa Water</u> - This is a really effective but 'gentle on the eyes' cleansing water. This is meant to have more skincare benefits than Bioderma. I love them both and they work equally well in removing makeup. So use whichever is stocked in your area. Unfortunately I bought 4 of these minis when traveling, so I am trying to use them up slowly - I'm on bottle # 3.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<u>Perricone MD Formula 15</u> -a long time love of mine! -I recently started using this again in an effort to use up my open products. I had not used it for some time as I do try lots of new products. But, am once again seriously impressed with the results I get when I use this amazing serum . I have reviewed this previously <a href="http://makeupremastered.blogspot.com/2012/11/perricone-md-formula-15-really.html">here</a>. Perricone does have two new concentrated serums being launched on QVC and hopefully everywhere else soon. I have my eye on these as my skin just seems to love Alpha Lipoic Acid and DMAE.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<u>Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser</u> - My skin has finally settled after the upheaval my illness caused. Nars tinted moisturiser (in Groenland) just looks amazing on my skin. My skin is hydrated and looks fresh. I cannot wait for my order of the new Luminous weightless All-Day foundation arrives!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<u>By Terry Terrybly Densiless Concealer</u> - I got this in the beginning of the year sight unseen. I had a tiny sample of shade 4 which matched my skin perfectly. But, I wanted it to be slightly brightening so I chose shade 1. When it arrived I thought I would have to wait to buy shade 4 and mix it as it looked ghostly pale. With a sigh of relief it actually works perfectly. It brightens the under eye without looking like and owl. This is a creamy formula that never creases on me. I also has enough coverage to hide my lack of sleep. It's also packed with skincare ingredients. I reach for this concealer most days. I can highly recommend this to all those 35+ as the skincare benefits can only add to whatever eye cream you are using.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<u>Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Lash Stretching Mascara</u>- I got this Armani formula by default as my makeup mule in Hong Kong said the mascara I asked for was out of stock (obsidian -love) and my second choice ETK Extreme was also out of stock. Said mule also said Sales Associate looked so bored and was yawning. I screamed down the phone " take whatever mascara she has in stock and in black." I can safely say I have never met an Armani mascara I did not enjoy. Even thought this is meant to be lengthening I find it a good all rounder!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<u>Lipstick Queen </u>- this was my second LQ acquisition. Lipstick Queen hit out shores the end of last year and I am working on building my collection. Medieval is the red meant to suit everyone. While I cannot attest to that selling point I can say it's a wearable everyday natural juicy red. My lips are hydrated and feel comfortable wearing this. I will do a post soon on the LQ shades and formula's I have. Definitely worth a look for lipstick lovers.<br />
<br />
<u>Nars Pro Prime </u>- everyones favourite primers. Great to keep my shadow fresh on my oily lids. Only gripe is that I never know when it going to finish!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
That ends my list of products that I have been in heavy rotation . What have your's been, we must compare notes!</div>
<div>
Till next time.</div>

I was then tagged by Gummy of <a href="http://gummyvision.com/">Gummyvision.com</a> with # beautyaddict. Bearing in mind that most beauty bloggers start there blogs because, yes, we are beauty addicts I thought this would be very appropriate way to start of my posts for the new year. So here goes:<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1.Which products do you keep buying more of despite having plenty of in your collection?</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
I was initially going to say lipstick! But, I think my most prolific product would have to be foundation. I am always on the hunt for a flawless natural finish for my oily, temperamental skin. I have a foundation wardrobe that would rival a Sephora!<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNrel7korpFeUyMJvzf5ijgzc7eIIyhmE4nRiap6OuAV-Sk3EvAixNONoeIcilp88g3NbnUniDz0By72Y-AyIXyWbqyrh3LFx-ZsQt04_kqgk2hcQkhMkzUqT6mOD9IOIh2bVgYm4hMqA/s1600/IMG_0367.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNrel7korpFeUyMJvzf5ijgzc7eIIyhmE4nRiap6OuAV-Sk3EvAixNONoeIcilp88g3NbnUniDz0By72Y-AyIXyWbqyrh3LFx-ZsQt04_kqgk2hcQkhMkzUqT6mOD9IOIh2bVgYm4hMqA/s1600/IMG_0367.JPG" height="287" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Foundation Wardrobe - a few not pictured!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2.What's the one product you can't live without ?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
At the moment I would say undereye concealer - my beauty sleep at the moment does not seem to be working, so I need to perk up my undereye area. My new favourite is the By Terry Densiless concealer which has skincare benefits in as well!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
3. Favourite Makeup Brand?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is titled 'Makeup Addict Tag' , right!? If I have to look at what is in my collection I have to choose Tom Ford, Armani , Marc Jacobs and Charlotte Tilbury..... Hourglass . Sorry I forgot myself there for a moment!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
4.How big is your makeup collection?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Not as big as my favourite vlogger Tara from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/Tarababyz">Tarababyz</a> - and if I tell you I might have to kill you !!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5. And how do I store it?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I do try store it in brands, but I am in need of some serious Perspex units-on my wishlist, but I keep spending on new collections!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
6. How many items of makeup have u got in your handbag at the moment.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have just taken about a ton of lipsticks out as my bag had got to heavy. Surrat powder for keeping shine away (reviewed <a href="http://makeupremastered.blogspot.com/2014/04/surratt-diaphane-loose-powder-compact.html">here</a>) , Nars velvet lip liner in El Agua, Lipstick Queen in Medieval - a really flattering sheer juicy red for everyday, Surratt Lipslique in Hevyn (reviewed <a href="http://makeupremastered.blogspot.com/2014/02/troy-surratt-lipslique-in-hevyn-and-bon.html">here</a>) and Nars Audascious lipstick in Anna (reviewed <a href="http://makeupremastered.blogspot.com/2014/11/nars-audascious-lipsticks-anna.html">here</a>)- okay so I did just say I had taken a lot out..... </div>
<div>

I get up early to do the school run, but need to be ready for the day ahead - a good 10 minutes - </div>

Primer for face, primer for eyes, concealer, foundation, macara, eyeshadow, lipstick and blush as a general rule of thumb- 8 products, so that is 1. 25 minutes per product!</div>

9. Have I ever bought makeup knowing you wouldn't use it?</div>

Limited editions are a beauty addicts kryptonite - In the past I may have bought one or two products that I not sure if I would use it. But I'm now try to be really discerning! There also have been products that I thought I would love but just do not suit me or do not perform as I had hoped.</div>

<div>
I would like to apologise for my absence. Life seems to have thrown me a curveball in the form of Guillain-Barre syndrome. It knocked me if my feet and landed me in hospital for 9 days, and now I'm on bed rest. </div>
<div>
I'm feeling much better and looking forward to all the new spring releases.</div>
<div>
Hot in my radar is the new Nars Weightless All Day luminous Foundation. Chanel spring all looks enticing as well as Cle De Peau's limited quad in 310 - I am hoping to pick up some Tom Ford Lips And Boys before they sell out. Makeup Forever has just released new primers and I am excited to see what Marc Jacobs has in store for us. Spring is usually my least anticipated, as the colours lean far to pastel, but this year rules are being broken, I mean Tom Ford with deep green and burgundy duo's!<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
Beauty news has kept me distracted and fuelled me . I've enjoyed reading my favourite blogs and hope to get back to blogging really soon. My best of 2014 might be delayed, so please bear with me.</div>
<div>
Love</div>

The Fallen angel palette from Charlotte Tilbury was on the top of my holiday shopping list! It launched awhile back in the UK, and is now available in the US. Its really the only eye palette for Holiday 2014 that I was already secretly caressing in my mind before I actually held it in my hands. I love charlotte Tilbury shadows and this goes beyond my expectations.</div>

The usual plain case is adorned with a palm throw of stars which is mimicked in the shadows below.<br />
They are gone with only a few uses but they are so feminine and fun! I love this trend of imprinting these powders with gorgeous graphics. The shadows in this palette have a different texture than her existing quads, (performance remains) and no glitter shade is included - the same concept remains with the prime, enhance, 'pop' and smoke. These shadows are soft and buttery and I had no fallout whatsoever. These shade are metallic, but a whole spectrum of looks can be created from a soft finish to a full on smokey eye. The other difference is that this palette, to create a molten metallic look, can be used wet. I found the colours surprisingly wearable for the day - a light wash on the eyes created a very pretty look. They also lasted for ages on my primed lids. For me the colours were quite neutral and not overly warm even with the inclusion of the copper shade. And of course, amped up, layered and all- you will seriously smoulder and glisten!<br />

Nars Audacous Lipstick was a major launch for Nars. They had quite a few this year - their dual- intensity shadows are amazing as well (review soon) I think, while all other luxury houses were concentrating on mattes for fall, Nars reinvented the creamy ultra pigmented lipstick- and they did it panache! I purchased 3 Barney exclusives (thank you frond!)- Dominique, Silvia and Vanessa and then after loving them so much - Anna and Raquel.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
They do indeed, reach full opacity in one swipe. These pigments are powerful and delivery a creamy punch of colour. They have the texture of satin which leans towards a matte look without the usual harshness that comes with that. This for me is a very modern look. The packaging has lost the rubbery Nars feel and is cool and sleek. As with most luxury lipsticks these days- it has a magnetised closure- which is lovely except when trying to take a picture and you have a uncooperative Silvia that just kept of hopping out of line! They are not featherlight on the lips , but feel comfortable and wear for a long time. When they start to fade, they do it with grace and dwindle to a lovely stain.</div>

<br />
<ul>
<li>Silvia - described as Radiant Orchid - all I can say is love- a pop of a bright pinky purple!</li>
<li>Dominque - described as Pink Lilac - the most unique of the whole 40 lineup- this channels my inner 90's girl. Its a dusky lilac that is so intriguing. It seems to make my skin tone more olive in a way and gives a very mysterious look. My top pick.</li>
<li>Vanessa - described as a mauve nude - apt description. This a good everyday nude without draining my colour or taking away from a bold eye</li>
<li>Anna - described as a smokey rose - a wonderful rose shade that is pretty neutral on my skin tone.Yes I'm going to say it- my lips but a bettterrrr! and sexier</li>
<li>Raquel - described as a pink nude - this has photographed darker than it actually is. Here it look just lighter than Vanessa - it is quite a bit lighter and gives my lips a flattering ultra nude lip that is lighter than my naturally pigmented lips. If you are looking for a slightly 'blanked out' lips whithout looking weird- this is the one!</li>
</ul>
<div>
There have been so many great lipstick releases this year, but this one blew me away. I can tell this is going to be the start of a beautiful relationship as I yearn after many more shades! These are kinda what I wish my Charlotte Tilbury lipstick (sorry Darling!) would be in terms of texture and look. If I remember correctly I said I liked them- something was missing- well, Nars found it! With such a big shade offering there is definitely something for everybody. Have you bought any of these Audascious lipsticks yet- any recommendations?</div>

While I gravitate towards brands that are bit more bold in their point of you, no-one can dispute the understated sophistication of the LM brand or the cult status of their face products. I do own their Tinted moisturiser, of which is considered the measure of which all tinted moisturisers are help up to. I thought it was really good, I owned it and used it ,but it was never quite the right colour match. Fast forward a few years and I jumped once again onto the LM bandwagon and bought the new Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide. This time I had the luxury of being colour matched at a Sephora with their foundation matching gadget. An excellent handheld machine that was spot on in it's selection of shade - Ecru. I did not purchase it at the time but was given a generous sample. A dear friend (McG!) facilitated this purchase for me as the sample sold me on the product!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
The packaging is utilitarian - lightweight plastic. No bells and whistles - but its what inside that counts. It is an oil free formula that needs to be shaken before application to mix up the bi-phase formula. It is quite liquid when I place it on the back of my hand. I use fingers for best application. I find that it is extremely similar to Armani Maestro Fusion foundation - yet this formula is more forgiving as and it provides far more cover than the Maestro, yet it is still weightless in texture and looks invisible on my skin. Skin looks like perfected skin- it evens out my skin tone really well. I do have oily skin - it works pretty well to keep it fresh not a total oil slick. Ecru is described as 'Light with cool undertones'. Strangely, when I first purchased this when it was first released I could have sworn that it described as 'Light with neutral undertones' - which actually describes my skin more accurately (this reads more rosy to me than cool?) - nevertheless.....<br />

I have been loving this foundation and it is a fabulous addition to my foundation wardrobe. I think it might have coincided with their repackaging. This is another " Dr" brand and so the blah blah goes. I hunted this down in their little home in Bergdorf Goodman in NYC. A very helpful SA CeCi helped me and sampled me their 3 step method in their blemish prone range . Their three step method comes in three variations: for sensitive, normal, and blemish prone skins . After my consultation I opted for the blemish prone. Anyway, I took my generous samples back to my hotel room and used them that night. Nothing works in one use, right!?<br />
<div>
I had one day left in New York. I nipped right back to Bergdorf's the next day-let me tell you why!</div>

<br /></div>
<div>
<br />
<ul>
<li>The method starts (once daily) with the polish. This is new age code for exfoliator. So yes, you exfoliate your skin to cause mini 'damage' to cause your skin to continually repair itself. As you age this renewal process slows down, and this polish keeps your skin on 'it's toes' and in a state on renewal as cell turnover is increased. The polish for blemish prone skin has a marginally larger particle (oilier skin tends to be thicker) which helps sloughs off dead skin cells. My pores feel cleaner and look smaller. There are other ingredients that help with blemish prone skin conditions. There is peppermint oil to help remove toxins. I love the fresh feeling my skin is left with. Lilac Stem cell compound which has anti- acne and oil absorbing qualities. Salicylic Acid also helps with keeping the pores clear from debris and bacteria. I love this first step - my skin has never looked this smooth and clear.</li>
<li>Now we cleanse in the traditional sense with the Cleanse. This helps remove the dead skin cells that have been loosened by the Polish and removes any leftover oil. This cleanser also has the peppermint oil. It is so refreshing. Lots of other ingredients sooth, energise, moisturise and help finish of the cleansing process.</li>
<li>Nourish is the final step. The blemish 'Nourish' cream is so good for us adults that have oily skin but still want the benefits of an anti-aging cream. It protects from oxidative elements, has peptides, and has anti-blemish and oil -control properties. I found this cream to be lightweight and hydrating.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
My skin has been looking amazing since using this method. Radiant and energised are the first two words to pop into my mind when thinking how my skin looks, since using Lancer. The Lancer method is meant to give you the 'Lancer glow' - I have to agree with this! This is range has seriously impressed me and makes me want to look further at the serums that Lancer offers. I have to admit I indulged and bought the Lancer Microcurrent Powerboost device (review to come) and have loved it too. Dr Lancer's book Younger was an informative read as well.<br />

These would not have made it in to my hands without the amazing help of my twinsie, dear frond Gummy from <a href="http://gummyvision.com/">Gummyvision</a>. From swatching real time and sending me pictures so I could choose from what stock was available at the Sephora. From across continents I was able to choose 9 gorgeous shades. That's a friend indeed!<br />
So Make Up Forever has reformulated their eyeshadows - with a whopping 210 colour line up, they have blown this launch out of the park. I missed out of their 30yr Anniversary palette (hesitation is never good), but happy in the knowledge that none of them in the palette are actually limited, so I could in theory collect all myself. At the time of my buying my these, there was a great offer from Sephora, where if you bought 3 refills and one 3 pan palette you get a saving of $22. Essentially one of my 3 pan palettes cost next to nothing.<br />
The new shadows come in Matte (M), Iridescent (I), Satin (S), Metallic (ME) and Diamond (D) finishes. Some shades are designated for cheeks. Here is what I got!<br />
<br />

<li>Celestial Blue D706</li>

<li>Pink Gray M548</li>
<li>Pink Ash S836</li>
<li>Crystalline Gray Beige DD552</li>

<br />
These Artists shadows are vivid and have such a strong pigmentation. They are beyond creamy and blend like a dream. Even with such extreme colouring, they still can blended out to a soft wash - I have even used Poppy in this way. I will also attempt Poppy as a wash of colour on my cheeks. Both Celestial Beige and Crystalline Gray Beige are perfect to highlight the middle of the lid and bring such a fresh open look to the eye. Celestial Blue can be used as a soft wash, but I prefer it packed on with a winged liner for a bold look. I have bought 4 diamond shades which are not just glitter, but have more pigmentation that gives a solid colour with sparkle. The Metallic shades of Poppy and Orchid are not high shine, but have a soft sheen to them. Orchid has a slight turquoise duochrome effect to it - visible at some angles (subtle) that makes it quite unusual. My lone matte Pink Gray, is less powdery than my Viseart one's. If you love mattes MUFE should tempt you. The Satin shades Purple and Pink Ash are just off a matte and one could be forgiven for confusing them as such. Dense colour with only a hint a velvet texture. I had a few Iridescent shades on my initial list, but these were out of stock. I chose quite a few brights, with the thought that when these eventually launch on my fair shores, we would probably get an edited selection and I have been told already by the MUFE stockists - probably no brights.<br />
I wore one look a full day,with a quick workout at gym for good measure. Only the barest hint of wear - terribly impressive.<br />

Round up: All my thoughts are good. I wish I could have purchased the larger palettes, but those are only available through MUFE boutiques. These new shadows are in my opinion a new step in the evolution of shadows. They are that good. I just want to know what magical device they are using to conjure up these delightful eye shadows. So according to Darwin these shadows will 'outwit, outlast and outplay' (Survivor any one?) their competition. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
210 is a good target I think!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Please note Poppy and Purple are meant as a blush shades so I do no advocate use on your eyes!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2303461468618351600.post-32038086810369640372014-08-27T05:51:00.001-07:002014-08-27T06:50:36.394-07:00Viseart Palette Basic 01- MatteThis palette is what legends are made of....... I finally took the plunge about three months ago and bought the Viseart Matte palette . After hearing murmurings about the must have matte palette that all the makeup artists in hollywood use, I knew I had to have it. Reviews and pictures of this palette were harder to find than a real life unicorn, but after my 'research' that this is the most used product on TV shows , where I think the makeup is beautiful etc etc. I pulled the trigger and never looked back. This palette can create dramatic contouring, can be used for brows and wet as liners - it is a true makeup artist work horse . For lil' 'ol me, it is the perfect neutral matte palette.<br />

<br />
The packaging is more like a pro palette and less like a luxe offering I am used to, but I guess it make me feel more like a pro. From the pictures you can see the 12 shadows are housed in a sturdy plastic casing with a clear top. Nothing fancy, but practical for the true makeup artist. All the shades are true mattes, with no satins or shimmers at all. They tend to kick up powder when placing your brush in to pick up product, yet have no fall out when placed on the eye. So while they do not have an overtly creamy consistency, they are not dry at all. From the swatches you can see there is a large selection of peach tones, warm coppers, taupes, and finally a cool dark grey and sooty black. They all blend well for matte shades.<br />

Since I struggled to find swatches of this palette, I do hope this has been helpful. I would love to extend my Viseart collection. They have have a beautiful pearl and a matte darks palette but am still looking for good swatches to make my picks!!<br />

This is not a necessity, but for a beauty lover it just might be.</div>

I picked up the Cheek to Cheek in Cherry Cruise when it first came out and just added the Tea to Tan in Bronze Bay. These are must haves for all beauty lovers. I bought mine both from SpaceNK.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzJTxOcHkhvq-Dtr0QGkQmtGqTNAMkGhuOwYC9Q1eXVNaDQOkK2B7BxI_cOEuLY0yB5muwlbmORtVW-OXJsjHg18T65atVkC6DYEVKyhm-5r1FNtiMOdnEKCh9TdkBsrcC3HQ8PpOrBN4/s1600/IMG_0094.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzJTxOcHkhvq-Dtr0QGkQmtGqTNAMkGhuOwYC9Q1eXVNaDQOkK2B7BxI_cOEuLY0yB5muwlbmORtVW-OXJsjHg18T65atVkC6DYEVKyhm-5r1FNtiMOdnEKCh9TdkBsrcC3HQ8PpOrBN4/s1600/IMG_0094.jpg" height="320" width="235" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
What I love about the Tea to Tan is that this is the most natural bronzer effect you will ever get. The awkward drop applicator aside, I simply put a drop or two in my palm and dab a synthetic, densely packed brush into it and sweep along my cheeks, forehead, down the centre of my nose. Buff it in and I'm looking healthy and sun kissed. No Jersey Shore here. As the name says, just the Riviera baby! You can go back in with more product and build, but it is a subtle and soft effect that just oozes chic. This can also be added to any foundation to add warmth. Also do not forget to shake to disperse the pearlescent goodness that collects at the base, yet does not translate into a glitter ball at all on the face.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Cheek to Cheek is a strawberry stain that gives a youthful flush to my cheeks. Again you cannot overdo this product. You can layer over the Tea to Tan. The stain effect is so nice for hot days as it looks light and fresh on my skin. Both products have a translucent quality and allows for your natural skin tone to shine through. They both have a distinct By Terry rose scent. I think it's pretty. By Terry also likes to add skincare benefits and these two are no different. Packed with ingredients that have antioxidants and also help to detoxify and revitalise are an added plus for me! High end brand can no longer do makeup without adding skincare benefits- its a trend thats here to stay.</div>

These do not have any real staining qualities and come off with ease at the end of the day. I have been using mine in our winter months, so if you are in the throes of summer these would be even more perfect for you. These are limited edition (drat!) as far as I know, so do not wait to long before buying them.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2303461468618351600.post-4093358599080604402014-07-11T11:59:00.001-07:002014-07-11T12:01:57.229-07:00Charlotte Tilbury Beach Sticks- Las Salinas, Es Vedra and Moon BeachLet me just put it out there I do not like the cold! An african winter pales in comparison to other locations, but boy I just want to hibernate! (that is my humble apology for being lax on the post front).<br />
I had a few products on my radar and pounced as soon as they were released - Charlotte Tilbury's much anticipated Beach Sticks. I stopped myself at three but as soon as I can I will round up my collection with the remaining 2 - these are fantastic! I purchased Las Salinas (warm pink), Moon Beach (peach) and Es Vedra (poppy orange).<br />

The cheek stick are housed in lightweight rose gold tubes - it feels almost weightless. Cute bubbles of colour greet me when I uncap them. Texture-wise they are feather-light and with a few quick finger movements sit softly on my cheeks - giving them a fresh pop of colour. In my experience these have a less silicone feel than the original Nars multiples and they blend easier and sit more realistically on my skin. Blended in these give a great stain effect.<br />
<div>
There is a whole press 'spiel' with regard to their naming - each is named after a beach in Ibiza and each shade is meant to mimic the effect after a week in the sun at these exotic locations - romantic notions turned into reality!<br />

These colours are spot on and all work on my skintone. Es Vedra was my answer to Nars Multiple in Siam that I had been lusting after. This gives me a healthy pop and sexy 'sunburnt' glow - huh! Try it and it will make sense. There is no pink undertone here so it does not look like a bad case of hives either. Las Salinas is a pretty coral pink that gives me soft pop of yes....pink! Moon Beach was described as similar to Nars Orgasm. Not to me - it compliments my complexion much better. This is perfect for a look with a stronger eye, naked glowing cheek. Some have used this as a highlighter shade - for me it is definitly a cheek colour. For deep skintones it would work as such. This shade can be mixed with the others to create a new shade - double duty! All shades have some degree of shimmer (all rose gold) in the swatches, but on the cheek it really translates as a glow. There are also meant to be some long term benefits good for the skin. They are hydrating and last well on my oily skin. You can also use them on your lips- not my first choice , but if you had to ....yes.<br />

I thought that since the lucky 'buggers' in the UK have now got full access to Surratt at Liberty, it would be the appropriate time to showcase these beautiful eyeshadows. I initially reviewed four of these <a href="http://makeupremastered.blogspot.com/2014/01/introducing-surratt-artistique.html">here</a>. I can only once again gush over the creaminess and all round 'Awesomeness' of these shadows. With this palette I went with almost gem toned look, with a tawny lavender thrown in for good measure. In my <strike>frenzy</strike> excitement when ordering, I seemed to reorder the bestselling Patine. I was only momentarily upset at the lost opportunity of owning another Surratt shade, but then realising how much I love Patine from my original palette I was calmed (keep calm and all that:))<br />
So behold my six beauties in order from T-B then T-B again -: Enchantress (steel gray), Marron (russet wine) Ravissante (tawny lavender), Patine, Haute Chocolate (golden brown), Dore (golden taupe)<br />

I am ready to push 'buy' on more of these luxurious shadows. I am loving compiling my Surratt palettes. I do wish that Liberty will stock these empty palettes online, as I have not seen them available.<br />
I also bought Guimauve blush, which I will feature soon with some of the lovely lipslique lip shades.<br />
Update: Large compact case is now available!<br />
<br />
I would also like to show my love and admiration (my fave reads) with a little Link Love :-<br />
The ever lovely Belly at <a href="http://wondegondigo.blogspot.com/">Wondegondigo</a> - I blame her for the start of my Japanese beauty love affair and even more for her witty commentary on life and makeup. I envy her photography skills.<br />
My Frond (no typo here) <a href="http://gummyvision.com/">Gummyvision</a> - I adore her and her funny conversations about makeup, age and life.<br />
Sara at <a href="http://www.colormeloud.com/">Colormeloud</a> - I would love to live in this makeup draw- always the first review that I <i>need </i>to see on the latest products. Eye looks to die for!<br />

So is the trend of a lip and cheek duo use product that mix and match.This is definitely their moment. I recently reviewed the delectable YSL kiss and blush creations <a href="http://makeupremastered.blogspot.com/2014/03/ysl-babydoll-kiss-blush-in-02-rose.html">here</a>, and today bring you there ' doppelgänger' the Shu Uemura tint in gelato' ! (..........secrets out, I watch the Vampires Diaries!) I chose three pretty shades sight unseen: Spiced Orange ( -a fresh coral), Berry Berry (- bright hot pink) and Milky Framboise (- Rose). If you look at both reviews you will see I almost selected the same colour array in each brand.<br />

Shu Uemura has opted for a lip gloss type casing with a pointed oval applicator similar to the YSL. I like this version for 'in my bag' purposes , but love the little 'paint pot' look of the YSL. Both have narrow necks to stop excess product on the applicator. The gelato is highly pigmented, but slightly less mousse-like like the YSL, but rather creamier than the YSL. I find the SHU gives a stronger pop of colour on the lips and the cheeks at first swipe. The YSL is softer and you will have to build colour intensity. I also need a few swipes on the lips to get a bold look. The SHU gives colour more quickly, but can still be blended for a softer look. One swipe gives a strong colour on my lips, yet I find these slightly more drying than the YSL. I also think the SHU lasts longer on my oily cheeks. As mentioned above, the finish on the cheek is a soft matte. This means no sheen or glow, but soft colour that is matte with no harsh line- almost blurred. It has the same look on my lips. These both are fun to use but I think the YSL win by a nose (freeze frame to check!), but seriously it like splitting hairs, both are lovely.<br />
