Pat McGrath Mothership VIII Divine Rose II

Pat McGrath is next level genius with her beautiful mothership palettes. Investment pieces, that in my opinion are worth every penny. I have two of her Motherships: Mothership V  Sublime Bronze and now this ultra feminine compact of utter brilliance. Everything is there. Pigmentation, versatility, butter-like powders that blend like a dream. I just cannot fault it. In my opinion if you’ve been looking for a PM palette to get, this is her prettiest yet.

Let’s break it down a little more. The shades from the top left to right,  clockwise down:

Skinshow Rose Opal:a good blend out champagne shade described with an ‘opal’ shift
Naked Blush: highly pigmented coral in a buttery matte
Eleganza :a metallic plum shade which same coral tones as Naked Blush
Bronze Rose 005:another metallic shade that is copper which shifts slightly pink
Gold Lust 001: metallic yellow gold
Astral Pink Moon: Glittery peachy champagne sparkle in a relatively clear base.
VR Sextraterrestrial : named a triochrome by Pat. Seeing is believing- fuschia, green and hints of golden peach shift and change
Rose Seduction: the star of the palette off which every other shade comes. Sizzling Magenta
Divine Dusk:on the money description, as a rose bronze
Extreme Bergundy: intense sooty matte bergundy which can be packed at lash line for definition
Wordy descriptions hold no power over pictures which show the shades perfectly.

While this palette can be full on glamour, very simple pairings of some of the shades can result in a sophisticated ‘t-shirt and jeans’ look. If you look at the palette with the first four shades in a square configuration, it is a soft peachy plum palette which looks like shades of a desert. There are so many options with this palette and I cannot wait to play more.
Have you indulged in a Pat Mcrath Mothership palette.? Which other summer palettes are you looking to try the most?
