Charlotte Tilbury The Glamour Muse Luxury Palette

Today I am showing you my third Charlotte Tilbury luxury palette in The Glamour Muse. This was my first pick, when I initially saw all the palettes, as I loved the POP shade. This palette has two 'frostier' shades, one more satin and than a metallic glitter shade, so a fairly good mix of texture.

  •  The Prime shade is a pale pink with a pearlescent texture
  •  The Enhance shade is a rose toned taupe with a pearlescent texture
  •  The Smoke shade is a satin warm grey with a hint of purple
  •  The POP shade has a red purple metallic base with matching glitter

Prime, Enhance, Smoke, POP

All shades are beautiful in colour. They apply smoothly and blend well on the most part . The POP shade is slightly different from the Charlotte Tilbury glitter shades that I have. This purple swatches an amazing shade, but for some reason it makes my lids look a bit crepey- mmmmm, pity. I am trying my hardest to get this to work, but it applies patchy, but I will keep at it!

What I do love about this palette, is that when using the first three colours an elegant and office appropriate look can be achieved. When the purple is added into the mix, it changes completely in it an on trend colour look. The POP shade is a 'fly in the ointment', but I have been more than happy with my other palettes.  I have The Rock Chick on my radar!

UPDATE: I have been trying to get the best out of the POP colour. I have used it on over a primer, and a light sweep of MAC Pure White Paintstick. I have captured it it in the picture below. A lovely hue of purple has been achieved, with the glitter barely visible. I have worked the enhance colour into the crease for extra dimension and loads of mascara. The colour does show up quite well, with the shade needing to be built up with finger patting and layering a few times. It does still accentuate any lines on the lids but does look very pretty. You decide.

  1. Love the purple shade! How is the stay power? Did you use an eye primer? X

    1. Hello- sorry for the delay in the response- It stays on for the most part but does look a bit washed out at the end of the day- this needs a primer to make it stand out and to look like it does in the pan- the sparkle is very soft.

  2. I like the look of the shades, though not sure I would get much use out of the purple, its a shame it doesn't apply as well, its always annoying when there is a discrepancy with application.
    Thanks for sharing this :)

    1. It's a pleasure-I love purples as they work well with my brown eyes- it is just slightly less sublime than the other pop shades that really outperform the best out there

    1. I just did an update- it works best with a white base- I had tried it previously with MAC paint pot in painterly which drained the purple of life!

  4. All her palettes look so pretty!! Too bad about the purple accentuating the lids a bit…is it the glitter??

    1. No actually - the base shade has something about it that gives me 'granny' lids - this is by no means a dud - I am still giving it lots of love:)

  5. Hi Jo! I have just discovered you blog via googling Charlotte Tilbury reviews-there don't seem to be that many on the new from beauty bloggers-I've just reviewed some of her lipsticks and the Uptown Girl palette on my blog. Following on GFC and Bloglovin and really enjoying what I have read so far
